Edelweiss staff cannot store a cake in advance of your event or carry any cakes down to the boat. A $75 cake cutting fee will be charged for all cakes brought on board. Fee is subject to increase if the cake is extra large or has multiple layers. The city is still pursuing a partner for the filled-lakebed site next to the new cruise ship dock. A 2021 request for information (RFI) yielded one response, but a new RFI is expected to be issued. The port will continue to use its Pier Wisconsin dock adjacent to Discovery World. Starting in 2021, Pearl Seas leased that dock for 20 years for use with its 210-passenger, 70-crew-member Pearl Mist vessel, which sails the Great Lakes in the summer. The Pier Wisconsin dock could not accommodate larger Seawaymax vessels.

The Fiesta Cruise will depart from our main dock located at 205 W. Instead of a pub crawl, this is a 4.5-hour pub sail with Riverwalk Boat Tours on board either the Milwaukee Maiden II or Brew City Queen II with three stops at local watering holes. Saturday stops are MOTOR Bar & Restaurant (at the Harley-Davidson Museum), The Twisted Fisherman and The Hotwater Warehouse. A maximum of 5 guests are allowed to board the boat 30 minutes prior to the event start time to set up necessary items. If more time is required, this can be accommodated at an additional cost.
The 2022 schedule calls for 25 of the 33 visits to be turnaround visits. In 2022, the Octantis will need to dock alongside the other Seawaymax vessels that call on Milwaukee. It will use Port Milwaukee’s Heavy Lift Dock while the city works to ready the South Shore Cruise Dock for larger vessels as part of a $7 million project.
